I’m fascinated by train stations. People, leading lines, lots of colours and more. In other words lots and lots of opportunities for interesting subjects and compositions. A trip home by train, from a little bit south of Stuttgart, therefore was a great way to get better acquainted with a recently acquired new piece of gear, the Canon EOS R. Using the EF to RF adapter I used the Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 Art lens and used the train stations as the inspiration. The camera was very easy to use and the results are stunning. The autofocus system is so good and delivered very sharp photos that it felt like I got a new lens. Using the LCD on the back it is was fast and easy to select where I wanted the focus and it was always spot on. Really remarkable. Looking forward to testing this camera in fast-action environments. As for now, I’m really happy with it.
